About the TLS Technology Program

Since 2009 Trinity Lutheran School has maintained a computer lab.  Each grade level has weekly class or twice weekly classes, kindergarten through eighth grade.  Typing skills are

taught and practiced at each level.   TLS is constantly working to upgrading classrooms with Smartboards and their accompanying products, such as the Smart Response system.

The computer lab desktops are Windows based computers connected to an internal server with Internet access.  As with all labs, the upgrade process is ongoing.

We supplement the lab desktops with laptops and an iPad2.

All classrooms are equipped with Smartboards;  each teacher, with at least one laptop.  We are currently working toward a wireless environment in our middle school classrooms, along with tablets for small group work.  We have recently purchased Smart Response devices to accompany the Smartboards.  This technology provides individualized feedback from students to their teachers.

About Technology Instructor, Mrs. Stephanie Springborn.

I am in my fourth year as the technology instructor at TLS.  I am also an aide at the Preschool!  I could not tell you what grade level of students I find to be my favorite - they are all unique and wonderful!

I am currently attending classes at UWSP to earn my state certification to teach mathematics at the 6th through 12th grade level.  I currently hold a short-term substitute teaching license with the state.

I graduated from Merrill High School, went on to graduate from UW-Marathon County, then UW-Stevens Point with a degree in Mathematics / German.  I hold an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University - Milwaukee.

I learned about technology while working at Church Mutual Insurance Company for twelve years!  I left CMIC to raise my son!

My favorite passages of the Bible are the Beatitudes and those found in Timothy and Titus.

God has truly blessed me...
